  8. Doesn't quite come off. "Old Man Kensey" doesn't come off, either. Like with the worst tracks on Document, I can tell these guys were really stretching themselves, but swampy crawling weirdness just isn't R.E.M.'s strong suit. The major-key bridge that lets a little light in is quite lovely, but on a whole, I'd classify it as a noble failure.
